Shepherd, H. Gastineau, &c. with Historical, Topographical, Critical, & Biographical Delineations by W.H. Ireland. Published in 1829.


This is an four volume original set, not a modern reprint in what appears to be the original half leather bindings. Some signs of age and wear to the binding. Inside in very good original condition through out. All the engravings are present, in Vol 1. The Frontispiece map of Kent has half of it missing. Some to be expected slight foxing throughout.
Each volume measure approx. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 inches.

Pictures in colour of the Norfolk Broads with descriptive notes, published in 1905 by Jarrold & Sons, Ltd., London & Norwich.

Contains fifty beautifully coloured pictures.

 

The covers are in very good condition overall. There is some fading and a small area of loss of colour to the red fabric just above the right corner of the cover photo. There are also some other to be expected slight signs of age and wear for a book of this age. Inside is in very good condition through out. The colour to the pictures is very clear and there are no loose pages. The front inside end paper is missing, and there is a very faint inscription in the top right hand corner of the frontispiece.

The book measures 8 ½ x 7 ½ x ½ inches.
