Kent-volume VIII of The beauties of England and Wales by Edward Wedlake Brayley. Published in 1808

Volume VIII in the series – ‘Beauties of England and Wales’, originally published in 25 volumes. This volume is entirely about Kent and continues on from the end of volume Vol. VII in which Kent was preceded by Hertfordshire, Huntingdonshire.

Thirty plus engravings present, and an additional 1820’s map of Kent has been bound into the front of this volume which has been rebound in a blue buckram library binding with the title and reference number in gold on the spine. The volume was one of many volumes sold off after being withdrawn from the Leicester Free Library. Some of the pages have the libraries stamp impressed into the pages.

Internally the book is in excellent condition throughout. The front fly leaf has paste marks where the library plate was removed.
