Hiberniae from Camden’s “Britannia”1610-37. This is an original framed antique map of Ireland from William Camden’s “Britannia” [London: 1607-1637]. Engraved by William Hole, one of the earliest recorded English map engravers. Hand coloured. Overall in excellent condition for a four hundred year old map. It does have some minor creasing and some slight age discolouration, please see the photos for detail. The frame has safety glass and measures 15 ¾ x 12 ½ inches. The map really needs reframing to do it justice.
