The crate appears to be dated 08 62.
The DM31 was a Splitter anti-personnel mine similar in effect to the WW2 German “Bouncing Betty” S mine and went out of service in the later part of the 1960’s.
With very clear original markings the wooden crate is in fully original and unrestored condition, although the paint has faded a bit. The rope handles have gone. No worm or other structural damage to the wood. Measures 50 x 26 x 18 cms.
